Fr. Joachim Ostermann earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Munich and then became a postdoctoral fellow at the Sloan Kettering Institute in New York City. After several years as an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at Vanderbilt University, he continued his career in research-management positions in highly innovative biotechnology companies specializing in proteomics techniques and immunotherapies. In one of these companies, Dr. Ostermann was considered co-founder.
